Wild Cottontails

This group of six cottontails started it all off in summer 2006; five of the six were nursed and weaned successfully and later set free in my back yard in Lafayette, Indiana.

 

 

 

  

 

 Wild Cottontail, part two

This cottontail was the lone survivor from his nest in spring 2007; he was nursed until I left for Alaska in May 2007 and Jeannette Bashore weaned him and set him free in her backyard in New Carlisle, Indiana, in summer 2007.  Thanks, Jeannette!!
